Mom guilt and Grace.

This is a near and dear friend of mine, her words have never rang more true – this parenting gig is H A R D.

Kate's Corner.

This is me. It’s a typical Sunday here. We attended church this morning, went on a short target run afterwards, and returned home to have lunch before nap time. They’re happy. I’m smiling. Things seem like they’re going well.

Right?

Our first church service time recently changed from 8:30 to 8:00, which seems a little like Satan’s at work- but no one asked me 🤷‍♀️ I’ve been a first service goer my entire life, since my childhood. I mean, why go to the 9:30 service when I can show up 30 minutes late to the 8:00? Its LoGicAl, at least in my scattered mind. The kids handled the time change really well. 2019 Summer Bucket List

DIY Natural Pallet Wall

pallet3

Let’s kick this thing off with one of my favorite DIY tutorials, our Pallet Wall. Leep was very unsure about this project in the beginning when I told him we were going to cut up some nasty old pallets and nail them to our wall. But knowing my eye for design and track record of not having an unsuccessful house project yet – he allowed me to be the Foreman and lead! Continue reading

Parenting is hard. Not only do you have to worry about if you’re raising them to be polite, functioning humans, other judgmental parents and providing well balanced meals – it’s your job to protect them from the craziness of the world & ‘adult’ problems. That last one weighs on me heavily, because one day they will be old enough to understand. This is an open letter to children who have individuals who have chosen to not be a part of their lives.
