Welcome to Malmy Madness. I’m Monica Malmgren (Malmy), wife to Philip (Leep), mama to Gunnar & Walker and fur baby Dozer. A confessed Chipotle addict and die-hard Indianapolis Colts fan.
Here’s my story, speed-dating style. I met my husband on a blind date in 2012 set up by my best friend. I quickly knew it was love by our third date when he sang N’SYNC to me on the ride home. A year and a half and a tiny apartment later we were engaged. The next year was a whirlwind of buying a house, planning a wedding and a mission to Ethiopia. We were married on 12.13.14, the most magical winter wonderland wedding.
Shortly after our world changed when Gunnar arrived. The pregnancy was tough, the delivery even tougher. About 2.5 years & a few fertility treatments later, we were expecting again. Walkers pregnancy wasn’t any easier, but his birth was picture perfect. Our nights of beers and bars was quickly replaced with bottles and diaper changes.
As I navigate this crazy, beautiful thing called life – I will share glimpses into our daily life, recipes, projects and everything in between. I’m happy you’re here & hope you enjoy following along!
